Sourav Ganguly became the second Indian after Sachin Tendulkar and eight batsman overall to score 1,000 runs in World Cup matches when he flicked the first ball he faced from Lasith Malinga of Sri Lanka for a double. It was the 21st innings of his 21st World Cup match. Australia, West Indies and India are the only teams which have three players in the 1000-run club. Here are the details.
