Asif Out from Tri Series
The Pakistani Cricket Team is flying out to Bangladesh just after two days on coming Friday, and their pace bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif are missing from the squad, and the chances of Pakistan to show any performance in the upcoming tournament are as slim as ever.
Shoaib Akhtar’s future is dangling as nobody knows what would happen to him with the impending ban and the still ongoing feud between him and the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and other officials like chief operating officer Shafqat Naghmi. Shoaib Akhtar is not sure to play again for Pakistan.
On the other side, Mohammad Asif has found himself in hot waters, after he would arrested at Dubai airport intoxicated and with Hashish in his bag. He fought with the airport authorities and was duly incarcerated and he is still there. He is still detained there and nobody knows about his plight and future also now.
Sohail Tanvir has got the chance of his lifetime once again. After showing a burst of brilliance in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he is once again there to show his mettle in the Bengali grounds.
The 24-year-old Sohail has played three one-day internationals against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh earlier this year and was the leading wicket-taker in the last domestic season with 65 wickets in nine matches.
