Aussies Shy Away From Asia Cup
The Asia Cup is about to commence in Pakistan, in which the country will begin its title campaign in the contest with an easy game against minnows Hong Kong on June 24. But as the event draws near, problems start arising as usual, and this time again they are from the world’s leading problem creators, the world champions, the formidable Australia.
Australian players are terming Pakistan as an unsafe and volatile place to visit, and especially Andrew Symonds is the most scared creature right now. This Kangaroo thinks that he would be dragged into the streets by the crowd and then would be blown up in ashes. How foolish of him.
If Australia carries on with it’s stubbornness and the unfriendly game approach, and even if something minor happens in Pakistan then the venue could be transferred to Sri Lanka. Hostilities between government forces and the Tamil Tigers have intensified since 2007, and Tamil suicide bombers have frequently attacked civilian targets in Colombo this year. And if Sri Lanka also gets fired then the cup of Asia would be held in South Africa.
This time for a change, the ICC should hold a tournament without Australia.
