Australian Tour to Pakistan
Pakistan has always remained crisis, especially in the recent times. Australians, South African, English and other teams have always expressed their apprehensions about visiting Pakistani soils prior to their visits, and then somehow they manage to play here.
After the tragic assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Australians started to express their justifiable doubts over their visit to Pakistan. In their visit, Aussies have to play three test matches, five one day internationals and one twenty20 match against Pakistan.
Australian players Andrew Symonds, Ricky Ponting, Clarke and some other have already showed their unwillingness to go to Pakistan after the recent events in Pakistan. There are also very strong rumours circulating that Australians are thinking about the cancellation of their visit to Pakistan or they would press on Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to shift the series at some neutral location.
Chairman PCB Dr. Nasim Ashraf knows better and he has said that he is sure that Australia will visit Pakistan, as the things are coming back to normal and till the time Australia comes here, everything will be perfect blank. He said that he knew that Australian board would never disappoint the cricket spectators in Pakistan and Australia and would play according to the schedule.
Shoaib Malik, the skipper of Pakistan has also said that if necessary he will himself go to Australia and will try to convince their players about the situation in Pakistan. He said that he wanted to play against Australia as it was the best team in the world and playing against them always benefited the opposition. He also said that it would be a big blow to Pakistani cricket if tour of Australia to Pakistan gets cancelled.
