Breaking News : World Teams Refuse to Play in Pakistan
In the wake of recent tide of suicidal attacks, the world teams like South Africa, Australia and England has told International Cricket Council that they won’t be coming over to Pakistan to play Champion’s Trophy in Pakistan and they have also shown their refusal to play it in Sri Lanka even.
That’s a big jolt to the Pakistan Cricket Board and it’s efforts to hold Champion’s Trophy in Pakistan, and they had even sent their coach Geoff Lawson to Australia to convince the Aussie players to take part in the prestigious tournament in Pakistan, but now as the three major teams have refused to play, it seems very highly unlikely that ICC would go ahead withe scheduled tournament in Pakistan.
That’s a huge loss, and yet another grim warning to Pakistani authorities to work more rigorously and vigorously for the peace and stability in the country to save the future of the game.
