Champion’s Trophy is Here
Not exactly the Trophy itself, but at least we get the chance to host this prestigious tournament at our soil, and where this is very heartening it also brings much more responsibility on our shoulders, and this is a chance to make or break for the holding of future cricketing events in our country, and Pakistan Cricket Board must not budge, and they have done a good job to fight for the event’s holding in the country, and now they must try their hard for making it secure and success in the country.
Teleconference among the ten full members of the International Cricket Conference (ICC) was a fish market, where Westerner nations were dead against going to Pakistan, whereas the Asian nations were united, as the condition of all the Asian nations is not much different, and they rallied behind each other in a rare display of unity.
The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) decision on Thursday to keep the Champions Trophy in Pakistan has angered South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and England. PCB should also take initiative and try to alleviate the security concerns of the players of some of the teams as these players remain extremely concerned about safety and security in Pakistan.
The ICC has decided to appoint a special task force to ensure that the implementation of the recommendations of the report are indeed being met, and PCB has got a chance to prove their mettle.
