Darrell Hair Returns
Inzamam-ul-Haq’s buddy Darrell Hair is back with all the fanfare, and Inzamam is not that much happy over that. According to the media, Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was “shocked and disgusted” by controversial umpire Darrell Hair’s reinstatement. Funny.
The Oval Test was forfeited in August 2006, when Darrell Hair showed his racist nature in full limelight with full zeal and zest and then Inzamam’s dumb attitude made fun of Pakistan, and Hair also got a spanking and got a justified ban from standing in top-level matches.
Australian Darrell Hair and West Indian Billy Doctrove punished Inzamam-ul-Haq’s Pakistan five runs for alleged ball-tampering, and the captain went crazy and refused to take field after tea on day four. As a result the match was awarded to England on a forfeit, the first such result in the history of the game. Inzamam was later on cleared of ball-tampering but received a four-match ban for bringing the game into disrepute.
Inzamam shouldn’t be so uptight about the reinstatement of Darrell, especially when ICC has said that he won’t supervise the Pakistani matches.
