Dhaka Encounters without Asif
Mohammad Asif was recently held at Dubai airport last week after authorities found a suspicious substance (that is Opium) in his possession while he was on his way home after playing a tournament in India, and the tournament was none other than glamorous, match fixing rich Indian Premier League. The sudden emergence of Rajasthan Royals is one proof of it.
With cheerleaders in mind and opium in the wallet, Mohammad Asif had a go at the authorities at the Dubai airport, and when those Shurtaas retorted back in the same fashion and incarcerated the Chursi bowler, things turned ugly for the Pakistan Cricket Board. Now as Pakistani team is in Dhaka for the tri nation tournament, Shoaib Malik relies on the past and the new bowler Sohail Khan for any miraculous win.
After a win against India last year they defeated Zimbabwe and Bangladesh 5-0 in successive series to take their tally of consecutive one-day wins to 11, which is a record for the country, Now Shoaib Malik thinks that he could do it again with Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul, Sohail Khan and Rao Iftikhar.
The Pakistan team would have to fight with all the might in the world, as Indians are in super form, and their talent is brimming and simmering. There is very little chance for the Pakistanis. They need to do a lots of work, but PCB is in other things. Instead of relying on the old tried and test goats, they need to find new and genuine bowlers.
