Farewell Time for Murali and Sanath

Two players who pulled Sri Lanka from ashes and put it on the zenith of glory are Sanath Jayasuriya and Muttiah Muralitharan. They were also at the forefront to receive the brunt of Australian players throughout their career. When Australians find themselves unable to beat the opponent, they start slinging muds and allegations and racial chants.

“It’s going to be the last tour for me, I won’t be able to come anymore to Australia , so it was a good honour. We have been involved in the game for the last 17 years, Sanath for almost 20 years.” These were the words of spin wizard Muralitharan after Srilanka finished off a lackluster visit to the land of Kangroos.

“This is my last tour to Australia adn I have enjoyed my cricket in Australia. I am disappointed only that we couldnt make the finals.” These were the words of that superman who have done wonders with the bat and bowl for his country, Sanath Jayasuriya is probably the best opener the world has ever seen.

Both Sanath and Murali are in the last days of their brilliant careers, and though Australia hasnt proved much favorite for them ever, but the world of cricket owes a lot to them for the entertainment they gave to it throughout all these years.
