During the third match of the ODI series at Potchefstroom, Mark Boucher smashed one-day cricket’s second fastest century off just 44 balls. He displaced Brian Lara to third spot in an astonishing display of hitting against the hapless Zimbabwean bowlers. Ten years on, Shahid Afridi’s immortal 102 off 37 balls still remains the fastest by any man on the planet. The accompanying table shows players with hundred off 70 balls or less in an ODI innings.
