Good to Leave Yousuf from T20
There is no doubt about the fact that Mohammad Yousuf is a star middle order batsman and without any doubt the best batsman for Pakistan. He provides sanity and maturity in the middle of the innings, and acts as a bridge between all-time failing opening and the late order theatrics of wicket keeper and sloggers.
But his lazy elegance and dismal fielding is only suitable for the One Day Internationals and even more suitable for the test matches. He is a traditional and classical slow-rate batsman with little aggression and with little agility. His running between the wickets is also very rickety and doesn’t suit the faster formats of the game.
So understandably, Mohammad Yousuf has been excluded from the first Twenty20 match in Pakistan, in which Pakistan will encounter Bangladesh. Mohammad Yousuf was also excluded from the Twenty20 world cup and then in his anger he joined Indian Cricket Leaugue and then withdrew from it.
Now let’s see what Yousuf does this time.
