Ace off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has said that the Indian team was all geared up for the forthcoming one-day series against West Indies.The five-match one-day series will be played between May 18 and May 28. Two matches will be held at the ground of Jamaica, two in Trinidad and the remaining one in St. Kitts.

Singh, who met the hearing-impaired children in Ludhiana, said that India was looking forward to a good tour despite the tropical climate.

“We hope to give a good and positive performance in the West Indies. We are hoping for a good game. The conditions though are hot and humid just as in India and it seems that the wickets will be on a slower side. On my last tour I saw slow wicket but hopefully we will get good wickets there. We are all very excited to go over there and play some tough cricket,” Singh said.

The national selectors say the tour is important because they would be playing at the World Cup venues. They announced an unchanged 15-man squad last month for the tour.

India has picked up seven bowlers, seven batsmen and one wicketkeeper for the tour.

Sachin Tendulkar, who underwent shoulder surgery in London late last month, will miss a third straight one-day series. He sat out the one-dayers against England and missed the two one-dayers against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi.

India are on a roll in one-dayers since Rahul Dravid took over as captain late last year.

They beat Sri Lanka 6-1 at home, drew 2-2 with South Africa, beat Pakistan 4-1 away, thrashed England 5-1 at home and drew 1-1 with Pakistan in two charity one-dayers in Abu Dhabi.
