Hundred-less series for Pakistani batsmen for the first time in four years
The recently concluded Test series between Pakistan and South Africa saw just one individual century scored by Ashwell Prince at Centurion. Interestingly, no Pakistani batsman was able to post a three-figure mark in the whole three-match series as Inzamam topped with an unbeaten 92 at Port Elizabeth. This happened for only the 14th time in Pakistan’s Test cricket history that any of their batsmen failed to register a hundred in a Test series (including one-off Tests). The last time it happened was four years and 15 series ago - against Australia at Sharjah in October 2002. Curiously enough, the last hundred-less away three-match series for Pakistani batsmen was more than 23 years ago – against New Zealand in 1984-85. The accompanying tables have the complete details.
