I ‘ll be Changed Man
Where Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shown its’ strong angry reaction over the reinstatement of Darrell Hair in the elite panel of umpires, the Cricket Australia has shown it’s consummate approval of this decision by International Cricket Council (ICC).
Some Cricket circles are claiming that the controversial umpire Darrell Hair has come back after a deal has been struck between Cricket Australia and ICC. According to this deal, Cricket Australia has said that ICC would restore Darrell Hair and then Darrell would resign after one year. This way, Cricket Australia would save its’ face and ICC would also get rid of Darrell Hair forever.
Hair was banned from the elite panel of ICC umpires following a forfeited match between England and Pakistan at The Oval in August 2006, which ended with the Pakistanis conceding the first Test forfeit in the game’s history.
Now Hair says that he will be changed man. One wonder as whether a leopard can change his spots?
