A team of International Cricket Council (ICC) representatives will arrive in Lahore on November 2 to have a series of meetings with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials over next year’s ICC Champions Trophy.

A PCB official told this correspondent on Monday that the ICC officials will visit the three venues which are to host the Champions Trophy matches. Pakistan plan to host the games in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

“We will have a meeting with the ICC officials in Lahore next week after which they will visit the three venues,” said Shafqat Naghmi, the Board’s Chief Operating Officer.

During their four-day visit, the ICC officials will also discuss several other issues relating to the Champions Trophy. The ICC and Pakistan are to form a Policy Committee that will run the Champions Trophy apart from appointing an Event Manager for the tournament which will be held in Pakistan for the first time.

Pakistan will also co-host the 2011 World Cup with India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and are currently working on plans to lift their cricket infra-structure ahead of the Champions Trophy.
