Imran and Taufiq Confront PCB
“It is unjust to ban us from playing domestic cricket because it’s our bread and butter. We will take the matter to the court very soon and fight this ban,” Imran and Taufiq said in a press conference.
Imran Farhat and Taufiq Umar, former Pakistani opening batsmen were banned by Pakistan Cricket Board, as they took part in Indian Cricket League last year. Both Imran and Taufiq have been given ample chances by the selectors to show their mettle, but both failed many a times. At last they were dropped, but PCB kept the options open for them.
But then Inzamam-ul-Haq started a revolt against PCB, and along with Moin Khan lured many players to join ICL. Inzi used every tactic to harm the Pakistani team. He even managed to entice Mohammad Yousuf to play for ICL, and at one stage Yousuf even prioritize ICL over the national Pakistan team, but then luckily sense was hammered into him, and he came back, but after blackmailing PCB for huge money and a permission to play in Indian Premier League.
Now Imran Farhat and Taufiq Omer, who know that they cannot play again in the Pakistani team, on the directions of Inzi pestering the PCB. Imran himself has said that he has the full support and guidance of Inzi. Imran further said they also had the support of their former captain Inzamam, revealing: “Inzamam has also promised his support and there is no rule on which they can ban us.”
Inzamam has harmed the team enough, and the time has come that PCB should root out the source of evil, which is Inzi. Enough is enough.
