India Asks Questions About Security
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is to provide international level security for a leading domestic tournament for the first time, and they intend to do it also for other domestic games. They want to show world that they care about their game and they are willing to spend for the security and safety of the game. It would certainly render a good message.
India is scheduled to tour Pakistan from Jan 4 for three Tests and five one-day internationals. Pakistan has not played a test match this year, but has invited the West Indies for two Tests in November — shortly after both teams play three one-day internationals at Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. The West Indies has not confirmed it will play the Test matches against Pakistan, but India has accepted the invitation.
A powerful bomb blast left 53 dead and hundreds injured Saturday at the Marriott Hotel in the capital Islamabad, which has cast renewed fears about the security and Indian players have started asking questions from their board.
