India World Cup Squad and Players to Watch
One of the most serious contenders for this time’s world cup are the Team India. Their recent destructive run over Sri Lankans at home might not do much in improving their ODI ranking, but it has certainly done a world of good in boosting their fractured morale after South African visit.
Led by the cool, vigilant and intelligent Rahul Dravid, they stand a fair chance to topple any team in the world. Dravid has seen many ups and down while navigating India in many games and has zapped many pressures without blinking an eye. Under the stern eye of Chappell, India is riding high for this event.
As a matter of fact, every player in team India is to watched for, some are brilliantly exceptional. Sachin Tendulkar, the fantastic batsman, the leading centurion will again spearheading the Indian batting. For the relief of many opposing bowlers, this is his last world cup. Without any doubt, he will be the key to the success of India.
After the tense 10-month layoff, joins the Sourav Ganguly, the prince of Calcutta and he joins with a big bang. After scoring in the hard tour of South Africa, he has also done wonders against Sri Lankans at home. His touch would be crucial in world cup. The blasting trio of Virendar Sehwag and Robin Uthappa and Mahendra Singh Dhoni can nail the coffin of any team in no time.
Indian fielding has experiencing a new era of professional and mercurial fielding in the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Dinesh Karthik. Rest are following the suit quite magnificently. The pace attack of India is the fine blend of aggression and calculation. Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan, Ajit Agarkar, Munaf Patel and S. Sreesanth are the lieutenants when it comes to swing and skid the white leather. Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh will try their utmost to show their wizardry with spin bowling.
