IPL Problems
The six-week enthralling tournament Indian Premier League has given lots of fun and enjoyment to the people of a wide range, but there are many problems also arising from it. The biggest problem is it’s impact on the calender year of Cricket.
The other problem is over-commercialization of the game and it’s impact on the ODIs and the test matches. Another problem is the lots of glamor in the game. The presence of dancing cheerleaders and the Bollywood stars like Shahrukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Rani Mukherjee, Kajol and many others have also put the question marks over IPL.
Many people are of the opinion that foreign and local players are enough to attract and entertain the spectators and the presence of cheerleaders and the Bollywood is more than a distraction for the players and for the audience.
IPL, ICL and now the premier leagues planned by other boards should be governed by ICC and ICC should accommodate these contests in its calender years given their popularity.
