Javed Miandad May Resign
Javed Miandad has had enough of the current goings in the Pakistan Cricket Board and he has conveyed to the Abdul Qadir that it’s really not possible for him to continue in this troublesome situation, where he cannot do,suggest or say anything for the betterment of the system.
The Pakistan board has decided to issue a circular in the next 24 hours to prevent its players and officials from speaking to the media. The move comes days after Pakistan’s sports minister complained about PCB officials making “statement after statement” which caused “a lot of confusion and differences”.
Chief selector Abdul Qadir is also not much happy, but he intends to go on. Abdul Qadir was of the view that the captain Shoaib Malik must not be given free ticket, rather he should be made captain just for the Sri Lanka series. Chief selector Abdul Qadir had caused a controversy earlier this week when he said the captain of the Pakistan team should be chosen on a series-by-series basis.
PCB chairman should rise to the occasion and he must talk to these former senior players to save PCB from another controversial crisis.
