Sanath Jayasuriya became the highest run-scorer for Sri Lanka against Pakistan, surpassing Aravinda de Silva’s tally of 2319 runs from 75 matches during his innings of 48 against Pakistan at Jaipur. Jayasuriya now has an aggregate of 2,336 runs from 73 appearances against Pakistan. Now only Desmond Haynes has aggregated more runs against Pakistan than Jayasuriya – 2390 runs in 65 matches.
