Jayawardene sets up another England mauling

Mahela Jayawardene scored a second successive One-day International (ODI) hundred to set Sri Lanka on the way to another easy 33-run win over England at Old Trafford here on Wednesday.
Jayawardene made a sparkling 100 off 83 balls, following his 126 not out at Chester-le-Street on Saturday, as his side went 4-0 up in a one-sided five-match series.
The touring side, opting to bat, posted a formidable 318 for seven before England were dismissed for 285 in 48.4 overs.
Jayawardene, dropped twice, and Upul Tharanga (60) set the foundation for the win, putting on a lightning 137 for the second wicket. The tail also wagged spectacularly, with 68 runs coming off England’s final six overs.
All of England’s batsmen made starts but failed to push on, Andrew Strauss top-scoring with 45 off 44 balls.
