Lahore Badshahs Excel in ICL
Lahore Badshahs kept their winning streak on Sunday to go into the semi finals of the Indian Cricket League. Thanks to some brilliant batting from Hassan Raza and some late acceleration by Rana Naved to help Badshahs reach a fighting total against Ahmedabad Rockets. The bowlers then did the job for them to clinch an 11-run victory.
Hassan Raza, uncharacteristically, changes gears whenever required of him mostly playing in the fastest gear. He is the second in the list of top scorers of this tournament so far having scored 209 runs so far. He also holds the record of highest run scorer in the tournament of 98* runs. Imran Farhat has hit the most number of sixes (11) while Imran Nazir is also enjoying his cricket very well having hit the most number of boundaries (26).
The bowling attack looks very balanced and strong. Azhar Mahmood has taken 12 wickets in 7 matches. Shahid Nazir having taken 5 wickets in as many matches has an economy rate of 4.78 which is tremendous achievement in this form of cricket. Rana Naved and M. Sami are also doing well. Veterans Mushtaq, Saqlain and Arshad Khan have also joined the party and are enjoying every bit of it. Captain Inzi looks fitter than ever and is doing his job quite well under the coaching of Moin Khan who looks serious to win the cup.
