Lawson’s Commendable Role
Though Cricket Australia has roll-backed their plans to visit Pakistan this March for their much-awaited tour to the sheer disappointment of the Pakistani Cricket buffs but the silver lining is that the Pakistani coach Geoff Lawson who happens to belong to Australia has done extreme efforts to somehow ensure the tour, but in vain.
Geoff Lawson was one of the publicly vocal supporter of the tour, and he personally told Aussie board, authorities and the players that the situation in Pakistan isn’t that much bad and there is no harm in playing the cricket.
It is learnt that Geoff Lawson even flew to Australia especially to convince the board and the players and succeeded in convincing the Ricky Ponting and some others while just due to the stubborness of Andrew Symonds, the friend of Harbhajan Singh, the tour didn’t materialize in the end.
Whatever it was, but one has to hand it over to Henry to support the cause, which was beyond his call of duty.
