Miandad’s Welcome Appointment
Javed Miandad, the best ever batsman Pakistan has had in its history has been given a very important job at the Pakistan Cricket Board of Director General. He will be responsible for looking after the cricket at the international and national level for Pakistan. Intikhab Alam as coach and he at the helm of affairs of PCB is a welcome and refreshing change for the PCB, and one has to commend the chairman PCB Ijaz Butt for that.
Though there are some people who are criticizing this move and terming the clashes of Javed Miandad with some of the senior players of the past like Aamir Sohail and Wasim Akram, Miandad has brushed away such sentiments and has said that they all are the things of the past and now there is no problem and he is looking forward to his job and would act professionally.
Aamir Sohail who is also at a very important job at PCB has said that he has also no problems with the great batsman and besides their paths are separate and don’t cross and above all they all have to work together to make sure that Pakistan comes first and the standard of cricket becomes paramount once again.
