Mohammad Yousuf’s masterful unbeaten 115 on the second day of the Oval Test was his 19th ton in the 70th match of his Test career. He became only the 10th batsman to have scored 18 or more tons in first 70 matches of the Test career. Among Pakistani batsmen, Yousuf has the best record after 70 Tests. Previously, only Javed Miandad scored 5000 runs in his first 70 Tests. For reader’s interest the accompanying table has the complete details.
* In the first table Don Bradman is an exception to the list as he smashed 29 tons in just 52 Tests of his career.
