Nepal cricket squad to tour Pakistan next month
Nepal cricket squad is due to arrive in Pakistan on August 5 for a short trip to play three one-day games against the National Cricket Academy (NCA) team, a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesman said on Friday.
During their five-day stay, the Nepalese will play two matches in Karachi and one in Hyderabad in preparations for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Trophy to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia later next month.
After arriving in Karachi on August 5, the Nepal squad will travel to Hyderabad the next day to play their opening one-dayer against the NCA. The tourists will then play their second and third one-dayers in Karachi — at the Quaid-e-Azam Park at Steel Township Ground on August 9 and at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on August 10.
Nepal probables for the tour: Binod Kumar Das, Shakti Prasad, Paresh Prasad Gauchan, Paresh Prasad Lohani, Raju Basnyat, Sharad Vesaker, Kanishka Chaughai, Paras Khadka, Mahboob Alam, Rajkumar Pradhan, Anjam Regmi, Basnat Regmi, Manoj Katuwal, Dhirendra Bahadur Chand, Gyanendra Malla, Mehesh Chettri, Amrit Bhattarai, Aksah Gupta,Vijay Thapa and Anitam Thapa.
Former, Sri Lankan Captain Roy Luke Dias will be the coach of the team while Jung Bahadur Thapa will be the assistant coach.
