Pakistan blind cricketers make it 2-0 against England
Pakistan’s blind cricket team continued their winning streak, beating their England counterparts by eight wickets in the second one-dayer at Worcestershire, according to a message received here from England on Tuesday.
The tourists, who elected to field after winning the toss, restricted England to a moderate a 169-6 in the allotted 40 overs, with Rorey Filed (54) being the top scorer. Pakistan’s Abdul Razzaq took two wickets for 21 in his eight overs while Mohammad Fayaz and Mohammad Waqas claimed one wicket each.
Pakistan, in reply, reached required the target in 22.1 overs for the loss of two wickets. Amir Ashfaq led the side to victory with an unbeaten 70 and a found a suitable partner in Mohammad Fayaz who remained unbeaten at 33.
Having won the series opener, Pakistan are now leading the five-match series 2-0. The third match of the series will be played on Wednesday (today) at Worcester County Ground, New Road Worcester.
