Pakistan Flopped Again
The humiliating defeat of Pakistan in Toronto by the hands of Sri Lanka is a good feeler for the Ijaz Butt, the new chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, who should know at which lowest level his wretched team stands, and he must take some proactive actions right now to save cricket.
All were responsible for the defeat. From the captain, players, selectors to the team management, but the biggest blame goes to the players, who just weren’t up to the mark. The captain Shoaib Malik refused to pinpoint any bowler for a poor show, but Shoaib Akhtar, once known as the world’s most feared pace bowler and now a pale shadow of his glittering past, was mainly responsible for the defeat by conceding 40 runs in just three overs.
Twenty20 cricket is unpredictable, a team keeps on posting victories and then lose, but losing this way is unforgivable.
Pathetic show all around.
