PCB Constitution Under Review
Pakistan Cricket Board has always been run on the adhoc basis and due to the much pressure from the media and other quarters of the cricket, the former chairman of cricket board, Dr. Nasim Ashraf hardly agreed to introduce and implement the constitution, and that even forces the then shameless attorney general Malik Qayyum to go along with it.
As the Nasim Ashraf departs, the constitution is again under the hammer. The law minister doesn’t like this constitution and wants to review it and to make the matter worst, he has once again formed a committee. “The committee will look at ways to make the cricket board’s constitution more democratic as in its present form it doesn’t encourage accountability,” law minister Farooq Naek has said.
Former Pakistan test captains Majid Khan and Zaheer Abbas and present skipper Shoaib Malik will be part of a 15-member committee set up to scrutinize the constitution of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Now it should be anybody’s guess as what would be the caliber of Shoaib Malik when it comes to the legalese.
Instead of these useless things, PCB should focus on finding more and more talents, and yes matches too.
