PCB team to review security in India
A two-man team of Pakistani officials will leave for India on September 17 to review tour and security arrangements there ahead of the national team’s visit for three Tests and five one-dayers across the border later this year.
A Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official and a senior police officer will review the arrangements being made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and local organisers for the tour matches in November and December.
Zakir Khan, PCB’s Director of Cricket Operations, and Sohail Khan will form the Pakistani team of experts.
The two officials will visit Guwahati, Mohali, Kanpur, Gwalior, Jaipur, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.
A Board official said that it is a routine visit and the duo would submit their report to the PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf on their return by the end of this month. Currently a two-man team sent by Cricket South Africa is in Pakistan to review arrangements being made here for a series next month involving the hosts and South Africa.
