Plethora of T20
Twenty20 cricket is good and is enjoyable only when it comes in intervals between test and one day matches, but the series upon series of it is now eating at the guts. This cash rich saga has sucked the beauty of the cricket out of it, and it’s harming the overall morale of the game.
First Indian Cricket League and now Indian Premier League, both are showering money on the players, and these glamour rich tournaments are focusing on the finesse of the game less and on the glamour more.
These T20 mania is fast commercializing the already highly commercialized game of cricket and where it is harming the essence of the game, it’s also hurting the traditional cricketing calender and now due to immense money players are more interested in playing T20 instead of classical tests and traditional ODI.
Even the organizers of country cricket are worried and apprehensive.
