Powar training hard for Lanka tour

Ramesh Powar’s performance may have earned him praises from all but that hasn’t made him complacent.
He is working hard to improve his overall fitness before the team leaves for the tri-series in Sri Lanka in August.
The off-spinner was called the find of the season but also criticised for being overweight.
Powar is now working hard to lose the extra flab.
“I have been accused of being fat so, I am training hard to lose some weight,” Powar says.
He scored just 13 runs and took four wickets in the three One-Dayers that he played in the West Indies.
It was a performance that earned him a place in the Test squad but Powar is far from satisfied.
“I would say my performance is average. I would like to perform better,” Powar adds
Like most Mumbaikars Powar was also shaken by the recent bomb blasts.
“I was in Dadar when I heard of the blasts. It was really bad to see so many innocent people dying,” he says.
But, he is trying hard to put those memories behind him and focus on the job at hand to deliver the goods for Team India in Sri Lanka.
