Salman Butt : An Ugly Question Mark
Now when Pakistan has comprehensively been beaten by the South Africans in the test series by 1-0, as the 2nd test was drawn today in Lahore, it is time Pakistan Cricket Board should sit calmly and lick their spit back. One ask in full anger, as why in the hell they have given 2.5 million Rs. to each of the players in the Pakistani team, without any performance? Why in the hell, goddamnit. Its our tax money, and we are thoroughly disappointed over this bunch of lazy, coward and incompetent thugs.
Though no one is worth a dime in the team, let’s today through some stones on Salman Butt, who was brought after the world cup 2007, directly as a vice captain and who was, according to PCB, was sure to solve the chronic opening problem. He did exactly opposite. Imran Farhat was even able to reach double figures before humiliating himself, but this Lahori lad is such a crap, who when takes his guard, one feels that he is about to turn yellow with fear. When he came first on national horizon, he got notorious due to the fact that he only made 50 in first and last match of any series to retain his place (that reminds me of another garbage Younus Khan). This time he has at least washed away that allegation, and he now doesn’t even make fifty in any match, whatsoever.
Shamelessly, after performing miserably, he blatantly told media that the responsibility of defeat doesn’t really lie on any one person, and he cannot be blamed for all the defeat, and it is the team work. He also told media that his bad performance was due to the fact that he didn’t play test cricket for a long long time, and he is basically cut out for a ODI format. Why in the hell he didn’t tell team management this fact before the test series, one laments in sheer frustration.
He said that he is also thinking a lot about formalizing the team’s strategy in his spare time. One can only laughingly weep at this. Salman’s Strategy — This could be name of any Lahori stage drama, and nothing else. To add insult to injury, Salman Butt also criticized the umpiring throughout the series, and thankfully International Cricket Council has taken notice of this, and one could only pray that they ban him for life.
