Shahid Afridi recovers from minor elbow injury

Star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has recovered from a minor elbow injury and is available for the second Test against England at Old Trafford, Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer said here on Wednesday.
Woolmer said that Afridi is among “15 fit players†Pakistan have at their disposal for the Test match getting underway from today (Thursday). “He is fine,†said Woolmer when asked whether Afridi has recovered from a blow he received on his elbow the other day.
Afridi, a key member of the national squad, got a hit on his elbow while batting in the nets here at Old Trafford. A delivery from medium pacer Shahid Nazir rose sharply, hitting him on the right elbow and left it with a bruise and swelling.
But after getting some intensive treatment overnight, Afridi was almost completely fit. He took part in the final net practice ahead of the Test on Wednesday.
AfridiÃs fitness update is good news for Pakistan who have had more than their share of injury problems on this tour.
