Shoaib Akhtar’s Stunt
Shoaib Akhtar should now join any political party, or better he could also form his own. The way he is riding at the shoulders of the activists of PML-N in the streets of Rawalpindi and Lahore is something worth watching and enjoying. Most of the people who are doing it are the youth and they are doing it because they don’t have jobs and they have nothing else to do and they are doing it just for the heck of it.
PML-N leaders like Malik Abrar and Hanif Abbasi are also at the front by supporting the Shoaib Akhtar and they are using this opportunity at full throttle to lash out at the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Dr. Nasim Ashraf, who is also a fast friend of President Pervez Musharraf and got this top slot due to him. As Shoaib Akhtar and Dr. Nasim lock horns, political parties naturally rally behind the speedster.
Shoaib Akhtar has been treated harshly by the board, that is a fact but he is also not an angel and he has earned this rogue status mainly due to his own follies and blunders and he doesn’t seem to get it, and that is why asking the media anchorpersons as what exactly he has done.
It seems that the ban would be lifted from him, but he needs to be very careful in the future. This time politicos would save him for their own interest, but next time he would be really in hot waters.
