Spiralling Downwards PCB
It was already expected that there was no honeymoon for the new PCB chief, but PCB chairman remained oblivious for unknown reasons and now along with the people, the parliament is also not happy with him.
Ijaz Butt, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, was severely criticised by some members of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Sports and Culture at a meeting in Islamabad over a variety of issues ranging from the Board’s financial position to its controversial manner of hiring and firing.
Postponement of Australia’s tour of Pakistan in 2008 and the ICC Champions Trophy has caused major losses for the Board which has seen its reserves crashing from Rs 3.3 billion to Rs 1.5 billion over the past two years. PCB should save money and they should cut down their expenses and should spend less on the unproductive things.
Mr. Butt should wake up right now and his friends in PPP must tell him that the honeymoon is over and now concrete measures should be taken by the Board for the betterment of Pakistan cricket
