Star batsman Yasir Hameed gets married
Star batsman Yasir Hameed tied the knot as Test cricketers; his well-wishers, relatives and friends attended the Valima Dinner at Garrisons Club on Sunday night.
The main attraction of the gathering were stars cricketers including vice-captain Younis Khan, pacers Umer Gul, Fazale Akbar, Test cricketer Farrukh Zaman, Rashid Khan, players from other games besides dignitaries in judiciary and lawyers, high civil and military officials and others.
Yasir Hameed, who stamped his presence in international cricket with two Test centuries on debut and becoming only the second player to achieve that feat, said that he was happy to tie-the-knot.
Yasir is known for his perfect timing and the style he uses for single-minded gap shorts said that he was doing hard to regain his form to make it more easily form of batting against any bowler.
Peshawar born Yasir joined the team after an incredible show during his first-class career where he played 83 matches and scored 4750 runs with nine hundreds and 25 half-century, said good techniques coupled with a great eye has helped him in his career so far.
Yasir so far played 17 Tests and scored 1168 runs with the average of 38.39, made two centuries and seven 50s, said that he was doing more in term of good batting and want to play a key role always in the team line-up.
He became the fourth Pakistani batsman to score two centuries in a Test, emulating Hanif Mohammad, Javed Miandad and Wajahatullah Wasti, and only the second to achieve the feat on debut, after Lawrence Rowe in the world.
