Actually PCB is more to blame than the captain. What's the use of having an A team when we can't pick up people from it at time of need? The way things are going, we would be counted as Cricket Minnows in days to come.

@ Kashif: I concur with your observations about Salman Butt and Younis Khan. But who is to be played as an opener, if not Salman Butt? We have seen the incompetency of Hafeez, Imran Farhat and host of others. We have been through the vicious cycle of repeating the same group of openers, and yes Salman Butt is one of them.

Now we also got another dumb slogging clown like Imran Nazir.

It's happen when the board is in the hands of people, who have not been professional cricketers. It's like Wapda and other institutes in the hands of army. PCB thinks that team would be doomed, if there would be no Younis or Afridi or any other clown. Pick there track record and see what have they done in their 300+ matches?

The reality is that due to Inzi's stubborness, we dont have any bench strength. Due to the board's short-sightedness, we are being blackmailed by the likes of Younis and Afridi, and we have to bear species like Shoaib Akhtar.

Time for some massive painful changes.

Salman Butt and Youins Khan are big disappointments. Only reason for having Butt in the team (and appointing him as Vice Captain) is his ability to converse in English so that he talks with the press and give interviews in place of his captain. He has not changed a bit in his batting techniques and is quite predictable for the bowlers.

Younis Khan is also a shame. A guy with so many matches under his belt, he is still uncertain on the crease as if playing his first match. His running between the wickets is not something to write back home.

I wonder why they have included Sohail Tanveer in the side and that in place of Shoaib Akhtar. The guy has a suspect bowling action and may get banned soon.

Twenty20 is all about taking risks, calculated or otherwise. Its a game of nerves and as we have seen, Shoaib Malik XI was destructed by Dhoni and his men.

According to Shoaib Malik, they were unaware of the bowl-out rule. This shows the incompetency of the highly paid management and imported coach.
