We run, to run out
Second one day international is again proved to be a comedy of judgemental errors by Pakistan. Inzamam decided to bat first after winning the toss, stating ‘turn in pitch’ that will help the team fielding second. Pakistan managed to get 265 runs in 49.2 overs, improving from 68 for 4 in the 14th over. However, the running between the wickets was nothing but ordinary. Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yusuf, Abdur Razak and Muhammad Asif were all run out. Shoaib was on 95 and thus went on the nervous ninties in the second consecutive match.
We need to improve our running between the wickets, calls and waiting signals, if nothing else. Mohammad Yusuf and Younis Khan especially are two danger men to get their partner (or themselves) run out.
