Welcome Return of Mohammad Yousuf
Luckily for Pakistan, Mohammad Yousuf has at last decided to join back the national cricket team and he will take part in the upcoming home series against South Africa. It was a blunder on the part of Pakistan Cricket Board to lose a maestro like Mohammad Yousuf in the first place, but as he isnt a mean, stubborn and disloyal person, he decided to return back in the greater interest of the country.
The arrogant and stubborn chief of PCB, Dr. Nasim Ashraf made every blunder to not to include Yousuf back in team, though he wanted it badly. First he made excuses that he was trying to contact Yousuf but was unable to do so, as Yousuf wasn’t picking the phone, then he said that the contact had been made, and they will settle on the venue of time of the meeting. Then couple of times, the venue and date was decided, but then was postponed due to the “inevitable” busy routines of the chairman PCB.
Now today, atlast the meeting was held between two in Lahore, and as was expected of the great batsman, Yousuf showed his eagerness and consent to play from the Pakistani side, which really needs h him badly. Yousuf has cancelled his agreement with the Indian Cricket League, who is loggerhead nowadays after India has won the Twenty20 World Cup, that was held in South Africa. To save his face and of the PCB, Yousuf said that he didn’t know that the agreement with ICL barred him from playing from the Pakistani side, when needed. He told media that this was the primary reason he left ICL.
Mohammad Yousaf will stay with the team uptill the world cup of 2011, and then will decide further. Mohammad Yousuf has returned in the team with full commitment and a renewed vigor, after the nation has also realized that he is the backbone of team, and if he wouldn’t be in the team, then we would have to suffer the lame-elf-mucus Younis Khan. Now PCB should come to its senses and throw the Younis Khan out into the hinterlands of Mardan to start a “Naswar” business, and bring the Yousuf back to restore the dignity of cricket in Pakistan.
Now PCB has got a lots of work to do. First they have to find some real openers. Then they should fix the number 3 for Mohammad Yousuf, no matter what and should work out on his running between the wickets. Then they should find a number 4 batsman. Misbah-ul-haq cannot be forgiven for screwing up the final of Twenty20 World Cup for Pakistan. Then a wicket-keeper batsman is needed. Burn Kamran Akmal and throw his ashes forever in Dead Sea. After that we need a reliable and human-like all-rounder and not a creep like Shahid Afridi. We need a genuine fast bowler and a genuine spinner. Mohammad Asif is just above the average, and Umar Gul is same. We don’t have a strike bowler, mind it. And last but not least, we need to improve our fielding, if we want any success in any tournament.
