West Indies Gives a Shocker
The President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in his capacity as Patron of Cricket Board in exercise of the powers vested in him under Article-5 of the Constitution of the PCB has been pleased to appoint Mr. Muhammad Ijaz Butt as Chairman of the Pakistani Cricket Board with immediate effect for a period of three years.
Former Test cricketer Ijaz Butt has got the first gift after becoming the chairman of PCB, as West Indian board has given a shocker. Donald Peters, the chief executive of the West Indies board, has said that due to the security concerns his team is not going to visit Pakistan next month, and they will perhaps visit later.
Though the security plan was approved by the police, military and the board of West Indies, the last minute back off by the West Indies has given a blow to the PCB, who were already at their low.
New chairman should show his performance early on by convincing West Indies to come to Pakistan next month.
