West Indies squad reaches Multan
The West Indies cricket team, led by Brian Lara, reached Multan on Thursday to play the second Test of the three-match series against Pakistan.
The visitors were received by district government officials and the DPO Munir Chishti on their arrival at the local airport amid tight security arrangements.
After having lost the first Test in Lahore, the West Indian cricketers will try to win the second Test to keep their hopes of winning the three-Test series alive, when enter the Multan Cricket Stadium, the venue of the five-day game, on November 19.
The West Indies team is expected to have a practice session on Friday morning.
The Pakistan team would reach Multan on Friday (today) and may opt for some exercise and practice sessions at the Multan Stadium on Friday evening.
The visitors will play the third Test match in Karachi from November 27 before entering the five-match One-day International (ODI) series with the first match to be played in Rawalpindi on December 5, second in Faisalabad on December 7, third in Lahore on December 10, fourth in Multan on December 13 and the fifth and final match in Karachi on December 16.
