Younus Khan as Vice-Captain?
I am telling ya, I will become a suicide bomber if they elect Younus Khan as the vice-captain of Pakistan Team. Vice-captaincy is yet another merry-go-round job in Pakistani team. Normally the most incompetent player is appointed at this slot, and by those measures, the decision to make Younus Khan as the next vice-captain seems logical.
Salman Butt, who appeared from nowhere out of the blue, and appointed as vice captain of the team, but as usual he screwed up the opening of Pakistani innings, and was kicked out royally. For Indian tour, though he has been called back, but has lost the vice-captaincy to Younus Khan. It was said that Younus Khan himself asked for the place and mildly threatened the board in this regard.
Dr. Nasim Ashraf has justifies the decision, and said that they have planned to nominate vice-captain from series to series basis on the performance basis, and due to the dismal performance Salman Butt has lost his place, while due to his “performance” Younus Khan has won that deputy slot.
Younus Khan told media, while displaying his disgusting smile that he knows that he hasn’t yet lived up to the expectations of his fans, but he intends to romp India, and he will show his mettle in the very first match at Nehru Stadium Guwahati, on November 5. Younus Khan, on the previous Indian tour of Pakistani team, coincidentally managed to score some runs, and was ruefully awarded the title of runs machine, and he thought that Indians were series and very actually impressed by his terrible shots.
People like Younus Khan have choked the influx of new talent in the team. It’s the blunder of PCB that pathetic batsman like him still survive in the international arena. First Inzamam, Abdul Razzaq and Imran Farhat let down Pakistan, and now Younus Khan is doing their job splendidly.
